May the Sketch be with you
Now for something a little different I am the first to admit that faces are just not my strong suit, so i tend to shy away from drawing them i will draw the whole figure and leave the faces blank. So I just focused on faces some in a Cafe and some on a movie.
Enjoy's
David,
ReplyDeleteI like to see you focusing on portraits on occasion - the sense of gesture you can create is at a different level than with the whole figure but portraits can carry an overall expression to them.
I think you start well with a light drawing in your work but your final line tends to slow down a bit when putting in the darker lined details.
Sure - the pencil should slow down when making these marks - but the line can be more consistent - less hairy or scribbly.
Good proportions in the face. Try to push this in a future student choice session.
